Walsh complained in December 2016 about Trump’s association with Putin. Why it took him till then to object is a mystery — maybe it was that he wanted a GOP president so badly that he was willing to overlook Trump’s repeated fondness for his master Putin prior to the election. But once Trump won, he seemed to realize that there was truly a problem here.

Not to stick for that asshole in any way but I am sure that there was a lot of inner soul searching, inability to accept what he saw, overcoming the conservative brainwashing, shit like that he had to internalize.

He is still and always will be an asshole in my eyes, but I think this is a process.

And it is one that needs to happen to everyone calling themselves conservative.
