If his polling goes in the toilet, that will show he’s perceived as screwing up, or the GOP is coming back. Everybody uses polling, it’s just unreliable when your guy is down and that’s normal for both sides. The trend up or down, only shows the public’s “perception” of the job performance, not necessarily how he’s doing.
