So, a late bloomer? ;)

I hated living on Long Island (moved there my sophomore year of high school) and only survived by going to Broadway shows and concerts every chance I had. I actually graduated with peeps who had never been to Manhattan—said, “Why do you need to go to the city, when we have everything we need on the Oiland.” But hey, it was Freeport, so what can you expect.

I’d just never had a reason to go to Forest Hills!

I moved here in ‘77 and used to go to the venues of the time - Schaffer Series in Central Park, Palladium, the Calderone on LI and the Capitol in north Jersey. Lived in Flushing for two years, then moved to Commack. Been bouncing around the island ever since, finally bought a house in Islip 15 years ago.

We live out here for the proximity to the city, but we get to go home when we’re done. We’re an hour out of Manhattan, country life. :)
