The RR wanted one of their own to be a sure bet to overturn Roe. I don’t have much hope for Kavanagh. At best, imo he ends up like Roberts. At worst, another Thomas or Alito.

I was trying to find Kennedy’s opinions from the year that Kavanagh clerked for him, but the ‘93 term seemed to be a fairly quiet one. Will have to look into some of Kavanagh’s opinions as well. I’m going to hold off on an opinion about him one way or another until I’ve had a chance to either read some of those opinions or get analysis from voices I trust on things like jurisprudence.
