You’ve spent months normalizing Trump.
Minimizing just how dangerous he is.
But most importantly there are really decent reporters at the NYTs and tweets like yours undercut their hardwork.

In this case, I think Maggie may be unjustly criticized. She isn’t signaling her agreement with Dowd — only reporting on what he’s doing. Without this tweet,
I certainly wouldn’t have been aware of Dowd’s attempt to protect his client. Perhaps it’s even a subtle mock of these efforts.
