Again, we know very little about any long-term effects of Covid. Herd Immunity was simply pushed because it seemed to offer the least economic damage to countries like the UK and USA where politicians were worried about how damage to the economy would hurt their chances of re-election.

The sad part again is that people will rally around a strong leader even in times of social or even economic crises, if they show strong leadership and act in the country’s benefit.

But Trump has neither the knowledge, character nor the right people in place to offer such leadership, hence the excuses like “I didn’t want to cause a panic”, etc…

Herd immunity was pushed because it requires the least amount of work
