The position that propaganda has no effect and makes society richer is such ahistorical bullshit it’s hard to even contend with. There’s no support for the position on any level, except the pretend glibertarian fantasy world where everyone is a stalwart rational decision-maker of Olympian proportions who is unswayed by anything other than cold reason.
