That’s one explanation.

The other is that NJD only cares about government waste when it’s* being spent on projects that are intended to mitigate the catastrophic effects of consuming fossil fuels willy-nilly, and not when it’s being spent on blowing brown people up in a faraway land (and securing the flow of oil).
