I recall driving back from Stuttgart to see a solar eclipse there in 2000…on top of the eclipse being rained out, it was the worst traffic jam I have ever seen.

Assuming we’re still alive, we’ll travel to Texas to visit my wife’s brother to see the total eclipse there.
