They really have no idea what they’re doing. They probably thought that the other campaigns would just stick it out indefinitely like Bernie’s. Second campaign in a row that Bernie will lose to a “terrible candidate.” Maybe 78 year old backbenchers who aren’t even Democrats from lily white states whose default personality is grumpy aren’t good presidential candidates.

I haven’t run into hardcore Bernie or Busters, but I have run into the attitude of unicorns farting rainbows in politics before. “We want X” without doing the hard work to get X, and failure to understand that reaching a political goal (like any goal) ofttimes requires several intermediate steps.
