Why you read some misogyny into my comments about good communication in a marriage is really puzzling to me.Seems a sensible thing to me. I do not understand your objections to what I wrote. You seem to be reading some erroneous message between the lines.

I agree that adultery is bad. I don’t think it ever was the salient point about this murder, even when you thought there was adultery involved. I don’t read misogyny into your comments about good communication. I see your comments about what might have prevented this or situations like it as blaming the behavior of the victims instead of just blaming the guy who did the shooting.

The ‘fake but accurate’ remark had nothing to do with the adultery issue. It had to do with your claiming that guns were being scapegoated in this story, just because there were guns in the story. If I convinced you that I was right about that not being the case, your only acknowledgement of that is that I might be right this time, but in general your observation is the right one. That is, you are accurate even if wrong in this case.
