And yet, in the released video, there’s no sign of a gun nor that of anything other than a police cruiser showing up outside a gas station and questioning someone, even as there are a number of other people around, including women pushing strollers.

The STL County police claim that the guy had a gun that had a serial number ground off, and that he received prompt medical attention. If the suspect had indeed pulled a gun, that would be sufficient justification to use force by the officer. Yet, all we have to go on is the County Police’s say-so since they didn’t release the video showing the actual shooting, and frankly, this is the same department that ran roughshod over protesters’ rights and didn’t properly investigate Darren Wilson killing Michael Brown either.

There are real good reasons not to trust this departmen when they’ve lied and abused their power under the same exact circumstances previously.
