Science is not about questioning results. Science is about questioning hypotheses. You come up with hypotheses that explain observations, then develop fiendishly clever ways to prove yourself wrong. If you fail, you succeed.

So, no. It’s not about questioning results. If you have another hypothesis that explains the observations better, go try and prove yourself wrong. If you fail, you can be famous.

And as someone who grew up in fundamentalist Christian circles, conservative religious folks are perhaps the least questioning population in the country, at least as far as religious matters go.
