I don’t think you’re getting my line of argument. I don’t expect anybody to fix everything. What I want is to push out the extremists. Admittedly we need help because they aren’t just going to walk away on their own and my argument is the best way to get them out is at the primaries. As far as who f’ed things up there is plenty of blame to go around.
I can argue that the Democrats have a lot to do with their substantial legislative minority status (see 2010)

Hm. I agree the GOP would be a better place without its extremists. My problem is in my fifty-seven years I’ve never seen anything but extremists in that party.

I’d rather let the extremists tear the party apart and see a new one that’s less extreme arise from the ashes.
