L.A. Confidential is a modern masterpiece. As far as I’m concerned, it got robbed of a Best Picture Oscar because of Titanic.

Not to say that Titanic didn’t deserve a Best Visual Effects Oscar - it certainly did. But not Best Picture…..no way. L.A. Confidential was a vastly superior film.

Sounds good. I don’t hate Titanic like some people do but it’s merely a good movie not a great one.
