I’m not jumping straight to reforming presidential elections. Third party candidates will not have a shot at the presidency until the two party monopoly on power is broken and we have at least three or four parties of roughly equal stature. To accomplish that, third party and independent candidates have to win state offices. For the Greens and Libertarians to try to win the presidency when they can’t even win statehouses is an exercise in futility.

The problem is, frankly, that Liberarianism is a joke, and the Greens are a less funny joke.
