re: #258 Targetpractice

First treating the accusations like a joke, then saying he’s not sorry. I accept that Joe is an old-school kinda guy who likes to be touchy-feely…but this is just all sorts of tone-deaf.

im gonna disagree
he has an impeccable reputation as a loving family man. He is defending himself.
this seems pretty clear to me:

“The fact of the matter is I made it clear that if I made anyone feel [uncomfortable], I feel badly about that. It was never my intention. Ever.”

“I’m sorry I didn’t understand more. I’m not sorry for any of my intentions. I’m not sorry for anything that I have ever done. I have never been disrespectful intentionally to a man or a woman. So that’s not the reputation I’ve had since I was in high school, for God’s sakes.”

This is not a sexual assault/harassment issue, but a respecting personal space issue. He already said he’ll do that in the future. What does he need to apologize for other than not recognizing some people are more sensitive to personal space than others?

it’s a faux ‘scandal’ (really worth an op-ed?) and we’re all aiding and abetting it. we’re nuancing this nonsense to death while there’s a grand scale of corruption and evil going on in Washington led by a self-admitted, in fact boastful pu$$y-grabber
