His paintings were overrated. We actually studied many of his earlier drawings to show recurring symbolic elements, which gets a little flowery and meh to get into here. Besides all things horror-genre related, this is the only other subject I’m actually qualified to give an educated opinion about.

At best, he was a mediocre artist. You’ll just have to trust me there.

True. But just think - if the professors had decided to admit him to art school instead of rejecting his application, WWII may never have happened.
