I’m guessing the CCP’s relationship with religion in general isn’t great. Which is probably another argument in favor of secular government rather than any sort of doctrainian form of government (for lack of a better term)

The Party tolerates state-approved religious houses of worship. It rejects the legitimacy of the Dalai Lama as head of Tibetan government, and has installed its own “Dalai Lama” as head of the state- approved Tibetan Buddhism. It recently passed a set of restrictive laws aimed at “de-extremifying” XInjiang, where many Uighur Muslims live.

Anything outside the authority of the Party is forbidden. Even Christian churches.
