This news just destroys me.

When she first started participating at LGF, she encountered some of the hold-overs from the bad old days. And she sent me an email at one point saying she just couldn’t handle being at a site that had people like that, and she was leaving.

I wrote back and implored her to stay, telling her that her presence was more welcome than she knew, that she was helping me to remake LGF as a better place, and that I’d be devastated if she left. And she reconsidered, and stayed on, and contributed some absolutely great things to the site for years.

And she did help remake LGF in so many ways.

Now I’m devastated again, because she’s left us. I’m going to miss her so much. She made so many real friends here, and I was honored to be one of them.

Such a loss. But she’d want us to continue on the road she helped make, I know that. So long, Aminah.
