To really dump Trump, the GOP senators would have to accept a setback on their most cherished principles, the goals for which they have worked and whored their entire adulterous lives: tax cuts for the rich, repeal of environmental laws, and an end to the minimum wage. Do they really think he is that big a threat? Perhaps they think he is a risk to their agenda itself, social chaos and civil war are not good for business either.

Exactly. Admitting Trump is wrong and fucked up is to admit that their ideology is and they ain’t doing that.
