I think they really thought that if they claimed the Mueller investigation was a huge nothingburger long enough, it would become a fact. They’re about to get a big dose of truth and facts, and their lies are going to be exposed. For someone like Trump who is accustomed to having others believe, push, and support every lie he utters, I suppose it is startling to discover at the age of 71 that there are others who will never buy your BS. I began to think the WH is in a state of panic when I began reading SBH’s tweets. She rarely tweets, so I got a sense of an “all hands on deck” atmosphere at the WH. Seeing Kellyanne Conway appearing on Fox and talking about the GDP and the “wonderful week” Trump has had reinforced the idea that there’s panic in the WH.
