From last thread…

I suspect that this is more due to the ongoing demographic shift in Virginia than any actual firearms ownership issues.

The urban and suburban areas of Northern Virginia and the Tidewater regions have been rapidly growing. And the longtime power base of the rural areas is rapidly diminishing. Add to that the unpopularity of the current Trump administration and failure of the Republicans to actually govern (as opposed to fight a political and cultural war) in either the National or Virginia State governments for the past 20 years. The result has been the sweeping out and repudiation of the Republicans in Virginia.

The losers are panicking and trying a bunch of different tactics. The threat of physical violence is a traditional go-to in this state. It will be ‘interesting’ to see how this plays out.

Edit - Clarify that it is the Trump Administration who is unpopular.

Nothing says ‘guns are good and we should be allowed more of them forever’ than threatening violence and civil war. It really shows that these valiant ‘gun advocates’ truly should be trusted to be gun owners.
