Yeah, if you have the right preparation. The good thing about Oak Park and some other Cook County locations is that the incredible buildings are located right near (and in some cases contain) some excellent restaurants.

Oak Park is lovely in that regard, though. With example such as the old Marshall Field’s building (lower floors are still retail and the owners do maintain the clocks on the corners) to the movie theater (a very nice Art Deco piece, the Pickwick in Park Ridge is also a good example of that theme), Oak Park has much to see for the Architecture lover.

I’ve got cousins in Park Ridge. But the glory of Oak Park is the concentration of Frank Lloyd Wright houses, including his own.

Oh, and Petersen’s ice cream.
