Bush was as I had activist friends in Texas. I voted against Bush in 04, although I didn’t like Kerry at all. I hesitated over McCain and Obama because I liked both men, but couldn’t stomach Palin. So I have voted both for and against candidates of both parties. But I find myself supporting Obama in a way I never did any other president. I really do trust him, which I never did any president before. I think he really does care about the country and its people and is doing his best. I think his best is pretty damn good. I find myself being proud of our president in a way I never felt before. He’s one of the people and I don’t feel taken for granted and I don’t feel conned.
