In my opinion the F-35 is the Air Force equivalent of the Bradley AFV (and for almost the exact same reason, inability to decide on being fish or fowl) and if you do not understad why that is a bad thing, go watch/read “The Pentagon Wars” except this time it is “Trillion, with a ‘T’”

That’s because, more than any other nation (which all do it), weapons manufacturing is a way to create jobs and a way to transfer taxpayer’s money to private corporations. Working, effective weapons is pretty much a secondary consideration.

As the rest of the world’s militaries put it, “In the US there is enough graft for everybody.”
