The problem is, and has been since 2014, that Dems have to get off of their asses and vote. That task seems to be beyond many of them.

I think it goes back further than that. A lot further.

Heck, a great example was 2010. It appeared then a little bit of success was too much and so “we” needed to fix that by not going out to vote to maintain the success.

I think it goes back to the Vietnam era. Not quite sure, but it feels like once LBJ begged out and Humphrey lost to Nixon bad juju started to enter the Democratic party and instead of beating on Republicans we have been beating on ourselves. And the Republicans have found out key ways to help make it so.
