Seven Samurai is widely considered one of the greatest films of all time and it’s easy to see why. I’ve taught film studies classes on it.

The film class I took at Guilford featured Roshamon.

I tried to get my teacher to see the indie film by Gareth Edwards Monsters a few years back.

Amazing master class of guerilla film making. Part monster sci fi, part Italian neo realism and part road trip. I thought it was going to be another sci fi channel Sharknado and found much of it was closer in tone to Apocalypse Now.

Edwards went on to helm Godzilla and Star Wars Rogue One.
