This is why I hate wingnuts btw. Senator Warner introduced some legislation to improve reliable access to what are called food deserts. Basically places where the only opitions available to eat are junk food and a bunch of wingnuts are scoffing at it. Yet they’ll be the same people who will bitch if they have to “pay” for lower income people having government subsidized health care that will have to be paid early since poor eating impacts your health.

I really don’t know what it is about wingnuts and food/dietary issues: the whitey-righties are usually the first ones to scoff at the perceived bad eating habits of “the poor” - i.e. nonwhite poors - yet will bristle violently at any suggestion that they ought to curtail their own over-consumption of fatty-salty-sugary-preservative-laden fast food/junk food: usually in the name of “freedom”.
