My Dad tbh with you waited tables for years. Met a lot of people from diverse backgrounds due to that and I think it helped influence my attitude on xenophobia.

I have always said that I think it should be mandatory for every teenager/young adult to work at least one “lower” job: Retail, restaurant, bartender, janitor, etc. So many life lessons from working a crappy summer job in high school.
