My personal anger is like that of someone who tuned into the prognostication of a groundhog, hoping for an early spring and instead being told we’re getting six more weeks of winter. It’s the weariness and disinterest that comes with being told promises that things will change, only to find out that nothing’s changed and I have to wait longer. Top that off with “trust in her plan!” when there is no indication at all that a “plan” exists and I’m left wondering why in the fuck I bothered voting in November.

Rep. Pelosi has been at the government game for a long time. She knows how to count votes in the House.

Did you get to vote for Democrats? I didn’t. Most of my ballot was blank in 2018. I voted for me, the state board of college regents (which flipped to the Democrats), and my school board (the Democrats flipped the school board in Dalton from Republican control here).
