First of all, Joseph Smith was un-American. When a newspaper in Nauvoo criticized him, he ordered the Printing Press destroyed. He actively flouted the US Constitution.

Secondly, Joseph Smith was a man who had a history of fraud. Let’s point out the fact that he was found guilty in New York of some crime involving a seer stone, not to mention the fact that the way the book was “translated” was a bit odd, though I will have to find it.

Granted, alot of my view of the Mormon Church only coalesced after the Prop 8 issue. Personally, I want the Mormon Church stripped of its tax-exempt status. There’s alot more here, but I wanted to give a very quick response. I may make a page about my gripes.
