If that happens, whither Colorado and NM? Their beliefs would normally tie them to Pacifica/new Republic of California/whatever it’ll be called, but they border only states-that-have-insane-Rebel-Flag-to-populace ratios, and Mexican states even more a basket case than those new-CSA states…and I doubt either Mexico or Arizona would be willing to give up a strip to give us a land corridor to the ‘main’ states of such a place…

Nuevo Mexico almost certainly becomes part of the Estados Unidos Mexicanos. Colorado either partitions between the sane parts (greater Denver and Boulder) and the ‘Merkin parts or follows its southern neighbor.
