re: #255 Obdicut

I’m sorry, but saying that comparing a Northern and Southern aspect of racism is Manichean thinking is in no way, shape, or form correct.

Because you insist it’s so, then it’s so. No, that does not make it so.

There’s more to American “racism” than the north/south dualism. Now’s your chance to explain yourself on the “crude” comment, since you evidently believe I’m too dull to have caught what you originally mean.

So yes, go ahead once again, and tell me how to properly understand and interpret today’s shytty race relations. Pretend I’m someone who looks just like you.

Go.

For non-Jewish. I’d have gotten more ant-Jewish racism if more people were able to visually tell I was Jewish, easily.

Well, according to those people’s own f’ed up stereotypes, anyway.

That’s nice. Doesn’t have anything to do with what I was talking about, though.

Southie was no picnic in the park in the 70s, especially for Black students. This is a fact, nice or not.

The black dude with the skullcap who got hassled at the 9/11 site was a good example of that. People assumed he was Muslim because he had a small hat on, and was black.

His house is really ugly.

He’s not so great looking himself, though I’m sure he’s been convinced otherwise.
