They wanted Warren badly and tried to lobby for her to run last year, even suggested “drafting” her. When she made it clear she wasn’t running, they had to settle for Bernie, but they still held out hope that he’d get her nod and thus be seen as her champion. So her deciding not to endorse, but to actually sign a DNC fundraiser email, was a solid kick in the jimmies to them.
