For those who can’t view Youtube, it starts out with them asking her if she wishes to retract her statement from yesterday, at which point she tries to double down by pushing this talking point that the Khans are blaming Trump for their son’s death, when it was Hillary who voted for the war and against the Surge and then Obama came in and started new wars in other countries. After they corrected her, she insists on standing by his timeline, at which point they point out that the criticism from the Khans is towards Trump’s lack of civility and refusal to apologize for his attacks on them. She responds by blathering that Trump didn’t vote for the war, at which point she’s corrected that he supported the war until it started going bad, which is when he suddenly decided the war was a mistake.

Then to continue to show that Trump and his surrogates have no sense of self-awareness, she tries to attack Mr. Khan for support of Sharia law, at which point they play a video of his pointing out (rightly) that what is termed Sharia law in the West is mostly local laws built around a hodgepodge of laws from various nations that one ruled the Middle East (Britain, France, etc). You can actually see her making a visible effort not to drop her smile as the video clip plays. But, having been shown that, she tries again to double down on her talking point by saying that that’s not what he said in some paper, at which point the anchors invoke the Mercy Rule by going to commercials.

So it’s been a week now with this Trump whining about Captain Kahn and his Gold-Star Parents?

What a doofus.
