I know but my point with my very Dad joke about not being able to get them here personally to discuss is we don’t know what they would say since firearms have changed a lot since the Constitution’s writing. Granted so have forms of speech. That is very true about property rights.

Yes, firearms have changed since the late 1700’s.

I agree the founders would have had written more specifically if auto-matic or semi-automatic weapons of war were available to the public at that time.

This is where I agree with most gun-control advocates. I don’t see an civilian purpose for more than a hunting rifle, shotgun or basic handgun.
