A lot of discussion of male-female conflict (and xenophobia) overlooks the fact that we are still carrying around a good bit of ape-brain constructs. There was reportedly a Papuan tribe that had no word to distinguish “outsider” and “enemy”.
All fetuses are female in body. At some point (in theory) those whose gonads are testicles get a shot of hormone that then causes the fetus to specialize into a male body.
I think males get “too” specialized. Until we deal with that, we will continue as before.
