Quick question/possible hot take on the PA 18 special election: is it just me, or is Conor Lamb basically a Blue Dog Dem who will fuck over the party once he gets? in I’m looking at his website, and there’s enough stuff that sorta sounds right. The whole anti-Pelosi shit, waffling on guns (which for me is not supporting an assault rifle ban) and “Yeah, I guess we haveta keep abortion legal” makes me nervous.

I went through this before in 2010 before our town got gerrymandered out of our Congressional district. The guy elected was the first Democrat in the district in 100 years, and then went all weak kneed on the ACA. He lost re-election and than we got booted for helping him win in the first place.

I’m trying not to be cynical/”enemy of good is perfect” here, but man, I have my doubts.
