I’m with you.

Even “Get Out”, which I was willing to watch for the same reasons you cite… I could only watch 20 minutes at a time, with silly sitcoms between segments.

I was sitting here thinking, what’s the last horror film I saw that really made my skin crawl? Not scare me or frighten me…..but rather, left with me feeling disturbed?

Probably Noroi, directed by Kōji Shiraishi.

Honorable mention goes to (of all things) Event Horizon, which also falls into the category of “if only they’d had another three weeks to edit the film, it would’ve been a damn masterpiece”.
