BTW, a little insider info from Dr. Ace, your friendly primary care provider. It still takes about 3 days for most COVID-19 results to come back. That means all the data you see on the number of cases and deaths is actually lagging reality by at least 72 hours.

Cases is lagging far more than that because there still isn’t nearly the test quantity needed. It’s very hard to tell how much - it’s probably not 10x higher than the confirmed number, but I’d be surprised if it wasn’t at least 2x.

I had not previously considered that the death numbers are lagging in that particular sense, though there has been an increasing amount of reporting that deaths are being undercounted.
