Boy, do I understand. People don’t see the 43 years of hard work I did before I had to break down and apply for EBT. They just see the card, not the person.

If it helps, I don’t look down on anyone who needs assistance.
I have been known to roll my eyes at the occasional Young Person trying to buy beer with their food stamps, but I forgive the young a little folly. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to be in a position where they need the help. Honestly, if you qualify for EBT and can save enough for a splurge now and then, I salute you.
