Yeah honestly I’ve never gotten that. There’s a lot of legitimate criticism to be made of Israel’s government especially under Bibi but as you get at, plenty of other regimes where human rights violations are far worse. The only thing I can think of is they feel Israel should be held up to a standard since unlike many of the countries on your list, they are more democratic in nature.

Which is a fair point to make, because they should be making a proper example out of its stature as a democratic nation in the region.

Personally, I would much rather have a cultural boycott of this stature directed towards Myanmar any day of the week over Israel. There’s an ACTUAL and well-documented genocide going on in Myanmar; the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, no matter how unjust and oppressive it is, will NEVER come anywhere close to that level.
