Agreed. And Bono ended up making buddies with Jesse Helms of all people. If only more uber-partisans would be willing to engage in dialogues instead of just shouting down and insulting anybody who opposes them …

And I refuse to allow politics to influence my taste in music. Dropkick Murphys are one of my favorite bands, despite the fact that they appear to believe that unions should control the universe. And I even bought both of Cat Stevens’ (Yusuf now I guess) new albums and highly recommend them (with the exception of a couple songs at the end of An Other Cup, easily removed from ipod).
