I grew up in a house with a rotary phone and I’m only 26. I think England was behind the times then.

I have an old rotary phone from 1925. Still works. The handpiece is so heavy, it could be used as a lethal weapon. It also has a like a peak in it. Kinda comes to a point. The back of the handpiece is not flat so you can’t cradle it on your shoulder. You HAVE to hold it.

Conversations couldn’t have lasted more than a couple minutes. You’d have an arm like popeye.
