Honestly, it was because he was feeding our confirmation biases. We enjoyed listening to him talk shit about Democrats and stoke the fires of the Clinton conspiracy theories. He’s a pompous blowhard and a royal asshole, but for those who are content to sit inside the echo chamber, his words are a soothing balm.

Makes sense. Thanks for explaining. I just never could get his appeal but as I’ve often said, I was raised in a Democratic household so I wasn’t going to be exposed to him. I’ve only actually listened to his show a couple times really outside the excerpts that sometimes get posted here and that was because a bus driver used to play him on the way to community college when I commuted there and my iPod had run out of battery.
