Speaking as a Canadian, that appears odd to me. My thought was, “Look at how divided the votes are. There’s very few close races. One candidate or the other wins by a big, often huge margin.”
Is that how it usually works? If not, the political divide in the U.S. is shocking to me.
Most states are not competitive at all. There are 9-10 swing states that can go either way, and these will decide the election.
