The inauguration is the thing you choose to take a stand on?

I think for me it’s the gross display of wealth combined with it being completely wasteful. I guess you could make the argument that catering businesses, waiters and hookers make some trickledown money but it’s just a crass indulgence. I could understand a first term party but I just think it would be an epic gesture for a President to skip the whole thing. $50 million ain’t chump change, it could really change some lives. It’s just a shame to waste it on a party.
