It’s not an ‘alternative’, like somebody chose it over the other attempts to not have a baby. It’s a necessity when that other shit fails, which happens ALL THE TIME. Life for a woman is a war between her self and her body. Killing the enemy is not how we talk about it, but the other side is waging war on the women who need to wage war on themselves to control their own lives.

First we prevent young women from learning about sexuality and reproduction. Then we make it economically impossible for a single mother to even earn a living, much less still obtain an education and try to build a better life for herself and her child.

And the social shame is manifested in her social and economic ostracism.

So yeah, the best option for most of them is just to terminate the pregnancy and move on.
