Every day is a little more spirit breaking than the next. It’s depressing as hell watching the United States die.

I look back on Corregidor. Bastogne. Dunkirk. Alamo (not sure I identify with the cause, but we remember it). Fighting futile battles is not futile. It seems that things have to be really bleak before some assholes wake up and smell the coffee. Civil rights. Vietnam. Stonewall. Still fighting police corruption and brutality. This stuff sucks but it isn’t the end in my calculation.
